My guest today is Dr. Kristin Williams, a polemical feminist whose specialty is uncovering neglected historical female figures. I had to look up the meaning of the word polemical, which means expressing a strongly critical attack on or controversial opinion about someone or something. I loved learning how Kristin expresses her controversial opinions as a feminist scholar in a school of business and management.
Kristin S. Williams, Ph.D. is the Director of the FC Manning School of Business at Acadia University, one of the oldest and most respected liberal arts universities in Canada. She is an Associate Professor in Management at Acadia University and holds a Visiting Scholar appointment at the University of Eastern Finland (Innovation Management).
Dr. Williams is also the Founder, Managing Director and Principal Researcher at Prudentia Institute: Youth Knowledge Exchange; home to the award-winning Student Research Lab.
She is co-editor in chief at the journal of Culture and Organization and a member of the editorial advisory board at the Journal of Management History.
Dr. Williams has received several academic awards, and she is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.
Kristin is drinking a pot of Earl Grey tea. She describes herself as a tea enthusiast, and says she has a cupboard filled with all different kinds of tea, including mint, chai and others.
